Oglesby named to All-Conference Team

Eldorado shortstop Kale Oglesby capped off his senior season and EHS career by being named to the Black Diamond All-Conference Team.

Oglesby was the lone Eagle to make the 18-man list.

This past season, Oglesby averaged .273 at the plate with 13 hits, five of which were doubles. He finished the year with four RBI, 16 runs, 10 walks and 12 strikeouts and an on-base percentage of .422. In the field, Oglesby had 78 assists and 10 errors.

Edwards County's Martin Schmittler, a junior, was named Most Valuable Player of the BDC, while Fairfield sophomore Cade Carter was named Captain.

Wyatt Gilbert, Bryn Hobbs, Mikel Garrett and Alec Pruitt of Fairifield were also named All-Conference, along with Edwards County players Camden and Dallas Cowger.

Carmi-White County was represented by Bryce Northcott, Justin Lamp and Travis Black, while Johnston City-Thompsonville put Josh McPheron, Reed Raubach and Justin Clark on the team. Hamilton County's lone representative was Caleb Chapman, which rounded out the team.
