Harrisburg beats CMSF in 5 innings

Essence Sanders allowed seven hits in the circle, while going 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI at the plate in Harrisburg's 12-2 win over Carrier Mills-Stonefort in five innings Wednesday.

Sanders improved to 18-10 as the Bulldogs' (20-11) starting pitcher, limiting Carrier Mills-Stonefort to two earned runs, while striking out five and walking one.

Karsyn Davis was also 3-for-4 with a team-high four RBI, while Hayley Sullivan was 2-for-4 with three RBI. Madeline Rider had one hit with two RBI, while Lexi Williams and Mya King both had a hit as well. King drove in one run.

Harrisburg travels to Barrington Friday and will play Seneca at 3:30 p.m. and Spring Valley Hall at 6:30 p.m.

Galatia-Thompsonville 12, Zeigler-Roylaton 2

The Bearcats pounded out 14 hits en route to a 12-2 win over Zeigler-Royalton in six innings Tuesday.

Leah Davis was 4-for-4 at the plate, while Dani Reynolds went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in the win. Kennedy Harris was also 2-for-4, while Maddy Murphy (1-for-3) drove in two runs and Emma Dixon drove in two runs, while going 1-for-2.

Reynolds picked up the win in the circle, striking out six, while allowing one earned run on two hits.

Galatia-Thompsonville was slated to play host to Du Quoin Thursday and will travel to West Frankfort (today) Friday. On Saturday, the Bearcats will hold their annual Pink Out Game in a double header with Hardin County and Eldorado.
