Going Out In Style

HARRISBURG - The Harrisburg baseball team sent its seniors out in style with a 10-0 win over Hamilton County Friday at Jay Thompson Field.

Dalton Lambert threw five innings of shutout baseball and was one of five seniors recognized before the game, along with Kent Fletcher, Presley Gauch, Christian Williams and Carson Burtis.

Lambert went five innings, allowing three hits, striking out 10. Bulldog sophomore Isaac Crabb threw one inning of relief out of the bullpen.

Harrisburg racked up 15 hits on the day as Will Holland, Will Gibbs, Jacons Martin, Easton Wallace, Gauch, Fletcher and Lambert all had multiple hits for Harrisburg. Holland led the Bulldogs with three hits in four at bats.

Lambert drove in a team-high three RBI, going 2-for-2 with two runs scored. Wallace drove in two runs, while Gibbs, Gauch, Martin and Holland all had an RBI.

Martin scored two runs, while Gibbs, Williams, Gauch, Burtis, Fletcher and Brombaugh all scored one run.

Goreville 9, Harrisburg 5

A 3-run lead early wasn't enough for Harrisburg, who fell 9-5 to Goreville late last week.

Gibbs took the loss, coming on in relief. He pitched two innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits, while striking out one. Gibbs replaced starter Easton Wallace, who went two innings and allowed three runs on five hits, while striking out two and walking two. Martin finished the last two innings, allowing four runs on two hits, while striking out three and walking four.

At the plate, Harrisburg had five hits on the day as Lambert led the charge going 2-for-4.

Gibbs, Cletcher and Burtis had the other hits. Cletcher drove in two runs, going 2-for-3 at the plate, while Gibbs and Gauch each had an RBI.

Javier Beal, Burtis, Martin, Gauch and Gibbs all scored a run.

Eldorado 15, Galatia 5

Kolton Oglesby and Hunter Sizmore combined to throw a four hitter as Eldorado closed out its regular season with a 15-5 win over Galatia.

Oglesby went four innings, allowing five runs on four hits while striking out five and walking four. Sizmore worked one inning of relief.

At the plate, Eldorado cranked out 11 hits on the day as Ben Byrd was 3-for-3 with a team-high four runs scored and two RBI.

Bryant Byrd drove in a team-high four runs, while going 2-for-4 with two runs scored.

Jacob Traxler and Joe Mayberry also had muliptle hits as Mayberry scored three runs and drove in two. Traxler had an RBI and a run scored.

Kale Oglesby and Nolan Milligan each had one hit.

Vienna 14, Eldorado 4

Vienna scored early and often in a 14-4 six inning win late last week.

Eldorado had nine hits on the day as Kale Oglesby (2-for-4) and Milligan (2-for-3) led the charge at the plate.

Kolton Oglesby, Joe Mayberry, Bryant Byrd, Jacob Etienne and Traxler all had one hit., Etienne had a team-high two RBI and Byrd drove in one run. Kale Oglesby, Mayberry, Byrd and Milligan all scored one run.
