Eagles pick up big win over NCOE

A six-run third inning led Eldorado to an 11-2 victory over Norris City-Omaha-Enfield Monday.

The offensive onslaught came from singles by Nolan Milligan and Kale Oglesby and a double by Hunter Sizemore.

In the first inning, the Eagles got their offense started when Kolton Oglesby singled on a 2-1 count scoring a run and in the third inning, EHS notched six runs, led by Bryan Byrd, Jacob Etienne, Milligan, Sizemore and Oglesby all driving in runs in the frame.

Bryan Byrd was credited with the win on the bump for Eldorado as he went six innings, allowing two runs on three hits, while striking out seven. Dalton White threw one inning of relief out of the bullpen, recording the last three outs.

Jack Riggs took the loss for NCOE as he surrendered 11 runs on 12 hits over three and third, striking out two.

Eldorado had 14 hits on the day as Kolton Oglesby led the charge going 3-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI.

Kale Oglesby, Bryant Byrd, Ben Byrd and Milligan all had two hits, while Joe Mayberry, Jacob Traxler and Sizemore all had one hit.

Harrisburg 6, Anna-Jonesboro 3

Carson Burtis went five strong innings, allowing just two hits and no runs, while striking out nine as Harrisburg beat Anna-Jonesboro 6-3 in non-conference action Monday at Jay Thompson Field.

Burtis had one of 12 hits on the day for the Bulldogs and drove in two runs, while Jack Martin had a pair of doubles, going 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.

Will Gibbs had a multiple hit game, going 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.

Isaac Crabb, Dalton Lambert, Presley Guach, Kent Cletcher, Easton Wallace and Will Holland all had one hit.
