Harrisburg splits pair of matches

The Harrisburg soccer team split a games earlier this week, shutting out Massac County 6-0 on Tuesday before falling to Carbondale 6-0 on Monday.

In the win over the Patriots, Devin Butler scored two goals and had two assists, while Josie Drone and Lauren McDaniel each scored two goals.

Annabella Robinson and Jenny Buchanan both had an assists, while Kerrigan Bush played goal and had eight keeper saves.

In the loss to to Carbondale, Bush played goal and had 17 keeper saves. McDaniel played goal as well and came away with two saves.

Harrisburg will play Marion in the first round of the Fralish Cup Friday in Carbondale at 5:30 p.m.
