Bulldogs edge out Johnston City 1-0

JOHNSTON CITY - Harrisburg scored a run in the top of the fourth inning and that proved to be the difference as Bulldog starting pitcher struck out 12 in a 1-0 non-conference road win at Johnston City Wednesday.

Isaac Crabb scored Will Holland on a base hit in that pivotal fourth inning and Crabb registered two hits on the day.

Jack Martin had a double, going 1-for-3 as Harrisburg (2-3) was held to just three hits on the afternoon.

Burtis went six strong innings, allowing three hits, while walking three and striking out 13, while Will Gibbs came on for the save in the seventh, allowing one hit.

Harrisburg is scheduled to play host to Eldorado on Friday and then will play at Du Quoin on Saturday, starting at 11 a.m.
