Alumni Corner: Smithpeter records first career double-double for SIU

Smithpeters had his first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in SIU's 102-64 win over North Carolina A&T Tuesday night at the SIU Arena.

Smithpeters came off the bench, playing 20 minutes and went 3-of-5 from the floor and 2-of-3 from 3-point range, while knocking down 2-of-2 foul shots. The former Harrisburg standout had eight defensive rebounds and two offensive for his 10 boards, while handing our five assists and finishing with one steal and one turnover.

Justin Carpenter - SEMO (Mt. Carmel)

Carpenter scored six points, going 3-for-5 from the field in SEMO's 75-67 loss to Bradley Wednesday at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau.

Carpenter had three rebounds (two offensive) and played 17 minutes in the start for the Redhawks.

SEMO travels to Saint Louis Friday for a 6 p.m. game with the Billikens. The game can be seen on Fox Sports Midwest.
