Prep Hoops: Wildcats upended by Cobden

Carrier Mills-Stonefort finished with four players in double figures, but it wasn't enough in a 76-51 loss to Cobden Tuesday night at the Vienna Classic.

Andrew Lollis had a team-high 11 points for the Wildcats, who are now 0-2 on the season after Monday night's loss to Eldorado.

Darion Barners, Billy Lewis and Colton Betz all had 10 points for CMSF. Nathaniel Reed scored six points in the loss, while DeAndre Moss finished with four points and Ethan Fitzgerald flipped in two points.

Cobden got a game-high 12 points from freshman Noah Franklin, while Carl Evans also finished in double figures with 11 points.

CMSF trailed 14-9 after one quarter of play and were outscored 29-10 in the second quarter as the Appleknockers took 43-19 lead into the locker room.

The Wildcats return to Vienna tonight (Wednesday) and will taking on Century in the 5:30 p.m. game, followed by Galatia and Eldorado at 7 p.m. and Cobden and Vienna at 8:30 p.m. On Friday, CMSF will play Vienna at 8:30 p.m. and battle Galatia on Saturday, starting at 5:30 p.m.

<b> Eldorado hammers Century <b/>

Eldorado jumped out to a 29-8 first quarter lead and led 55-25 at halftime and never looked back, blowing out Century 92-34 Tuesday night at the Vienna Classic.

The Eagles (2-0) put five players in double figures, led by a game-high 19 points from John Meredith.

Braden Attebury burried 17 points in the win for Eldorado, while Ray May tacked on 13 points and Kale Oglesby and Joe Mayberry rounded out the double-digit scoring with 11 points apiece.

Ben Byrd netted five for EHS, while Jacob Traxler and Lydayyeah Shewmaker each had three points. Connor Watt, Gus Scott, Norman Milligan, Hunter Sizemore and Garrett Canimore all had two points.

Eldorado will play Cobden on Friday at 7 p.m. and close out the Vienna Classic with a game against Vienna on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
