Prep Golf: EHS, HHS linksters shine on course

ELDORADO - Carmi-White County's Ty Barbre's 37 was good enough for medalist honors and propelled CWC to triangular win over Eldorado and Norris City-Omaha-Enfield Wednesday night.

The Bulldogs shot a 170, edging out Eldorado, who shot a 177 and NCOE, who finished with a 188.

Noah Smith took low honors for EHS, finishing with a 39, while Evan Coyle and Braden Unthank each shot a pair of 43's. Ely Boulds and Lucas Rider both shot a 52 and Austin Willis carded a 56.

Eldorado is now 10-6 on the season and are scheduled to play at Harrisburg Monday.

Harrisburg knocks off Vienna at home

Javier Beal shot a 41 in helping Harrisburg to a 196-198 win over Vienna Tuesday night.

Not far behind Beal's 41 was a 42 from Camden Schiff, Andrew Bittle finished with a 47 and Gabe Smothers, along with Hunter Voice each provided a pair of 66's. Clay Brigham carded a 72 for the Bulldogs.

Eldorado girls shoot best team score of season

A 43 for Derian Corn gave the Eldorado golfer medalist honors as the Eagles knocked off Carmi-White County 185-220 on the road earlier this week.

Keeley Tate finished with a 45, while Emma Wargel (48) and Ashlyn Sizemore (49) rounded out the team scores for Eldorado. Also competing for the Eagles were Hannah Clark (61) and Chloe Hopkins (64).
