Prep Hoops Roundup: Gallatin County girls move to 3-3 on season

Hailey Chubb was one of three Gallatin County basketball players to finish in double figures as the Hawks knocked off Dongola 76-39 Monday night on the road.

Chubb had a team-high 30 points and was joined in double digit scoring by Audrey Jackson's 12 points and Harlie Turner's 10 points.

Morgan Roderick tossed in eight points for Gallatin County, who evened their record to 3-3 on the season. Gracie Sauls scored six points, while Avery Scates and Caitlin Lynch each finished with four points. Valerie Ahrens had two points in the win.

Gallatin County returns to action tonight (Tuesday) on the road at Goreville.

Ramsey matches career-high in Hawks' win over Grayville

Seth Ramsey tied a career-high, netting 43 points in a 65-58 win over Grayville Monday night at the Grayville Tournament.

Audie Goebel joined Ramsey in double figure scoring, netting 18 points in the win that moved the Hawks to 1-0 on the year. Robbie Prince tacked on three points and Luis Rubio had a free throw.

Carrier Mills 74, Galatia 54

Brody Walker had a game-high 28 points for the Wildcats, while Will Gibbs scored 18 points and joined Justice Hill and Dylan Schwartz as both had a pair of 10-point performances to all finish in double figures for CMSF.

Billy Lewis scored seven points in the win and Justin Austin had two points.

For Galatia, the Bearcats were led by Lawrence's nine points. Mitchell and Mattingly each added eight points, while Matthews scored six points in the loss. Verback finished with five points.
