Cemetery Notes for contributions to rural cemeteries appeared in the print edition for final time May 27, 2011. Space is devoted each year at no charge to your rural cemetery from April 1 until Memorial Day as we know it is difficult to raise the funding to support our rural cemeteries. We thank you for your donations to our cemeteries. And remember, money is needed throughout the summer for mowing. Cemetery notes is an annual project of the newspaper staff. Help us in helping the rural cemetery volunteers.
LIBERTY BAPTIST
Donations are needed for the upkeep of the cemetery and may be mailed to Melissa Belt, 460 Liberty Road, Harrisburg, Ill. 62946. Volunteers will be at the cemetery Friday and Saturday, May 27 and 28, to accept donations.
PROVIDENCE
Donations are being accepted for the upkeep of Providence Cemetery, four miles west of Carrier Mills. You may mail them to Providence Cemetery, c/o Bill Kidd, 170 Tipple Road, Carrier Mills, Ill. 62917.
ZION
Zion Cemetery, east of Ozark, is accepting donations for the maintenance of the cemetery. All donations will be greatly appreciated and can be sent to Michelle Richerson, 7345 Battleford Road, Stonefort, Ill. 62987.
SOUTH AMERICA
Donations are needed for the South America Cemetery. Cleanup with a potluck lunch will be held at noon Saturday, May 28. Bring a covered dish.
NO. 7
Donations for the maintenance of No. 7 Cemetery may be made to Randall Henson, Georgia Parks and Don Nolen.
JONES
