Obituary: Paula Joan Avery
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Paula Joan Avery, 55, of Harrisburg, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at her residence.
She was born on March 9, 1956, in Rosiclare to the late Clinton and Dorothy (Phillips) Littrell. In 1991, she married Norman Avery and he survives.
Paula was a certified nursing assistant and worked as a dietitian for Turner Manor. She was a member of Honeycomb Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Norman Avery; son, Nick Rider; stepson, Nicholas Norman Avery; special granddaughter, Bailey Nichole Rider; two sisters, Mary Cantwell and Etta Mae Church; brother, Deon Littrell; special niece, Angela Hampton; and several nieces and nephews.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles "Butch" Littrell and James Littrell; two sisters, Kay Cullum and Judy Littrell; and nephew, Kevin Thrasher.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Reed Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harold Miller officiating. Condolences may be sent to the family through the obituary page of the Internet site www.reedfuneralchapel.com.
