Judith L. 'Judy' Parish of Harrisburg

Judith L. "Judy" Parish, age 79, of Harrisburg, passed away at 8:31 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Feb. 3, 1940 in Saline County to the late Theodore and Mable Jane (Ozee) Pickering.

On June 30, 1956 she married James W. Parish and he survives. Judy worked for the Illinois Secretary of State for more than 30 years.

She was an avid Cardinals fan, loved the outdoors and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She loved her dogs, Bella and Dory. Judy was a lifelong Republican and an avid supporter of President Trump.

In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by two daughters, Jamie Parish of Harrisburg and Stacey (Randy) Milligan of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, Amberlea (Jeremy) of Marion, Linsay (Matt) Wood of Ledbetter, Ky., Mason (Erin) Milligan of Lexington, S.C., James Dallas Walker of Brookport, IL and Matthew Milligan of Harrisburg; four great-grandchildren, Sabastion Fasolo of Harrisburg, Xander Fasolo of Ledbetter, Ky., Harlea Hull of Ledbetter, Ky., and Skylynne Walker of Harrisburg; one sister-in-law, Peggy Pickering of Harrisburg; special friends Jeff, Paula and Justin Fulkerson of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Billie Pickering, Joseph F. Pickering and Donald Pickering.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg, with the Rev. Scott Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Reed Funeral Chapel.
