Angelo Smith, formerly of Du Quoin

DU QUOIN - Angelo Tremayne Smith, 28, of Nashville (formerly Du Quoin), passed away at 6:03 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019 at his residence.

Angelo worked at Nascote Industries in Nashville as a machine operator. He was a believer in the reward of hard work. Angelo enjoyed traveling and going on life's adventures. Angelo loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was of the Christian faith.

Angelo was born Dec. 27, 1990, in Peoria, the son of Audrey Smith and Jill McWethy.

He is survived by his mother, Jill McWethy, of Du Quoin; siblings, Aprentiss "Scooter" McWethy of Beckemeyer, Arthur Smith of Kansas City, Aaron (Carrie) Smith of Du Quoin, Antonio "Bud" (Alexis) Smith of Du Quoin, Andrea "Weedy" (Dontae) Smith of Du Quoin, and Tory Davis of Carlyle; significant other, Olivia Spenner, of Nashville; nieces and nephews, Olivia McWethy, Aubrey Smith-Anderson, Audey Smith, Ayvilyn Smith, Zoey Davis, Nolan Spenner and Kacen Kurtz; and his best friend, Brian Creek of Du Quoin.

Angelo was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, March 16 at Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin. Angelo's family will be officiating the service.

There will be a visitation for friends and family at 10 a.m. on Saturday until the time of service, also at the funeral home.
