Garrett Donald “Lil Man” Turcott of Harrisburg

Garrett Donald "Lil Man" Turcott, age 16, a resident of Harrisburg, passed away at 5:47 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2018 in Deaconess Hospital, as a result of injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.

He was born on Dec. 7, 2001 in Carbondale to Gary Donald Turcott and the late Angela Rose (Turner) Turcott. Garrett would have began his junior year at Harrisburg High School where he played football, was on the wrestling team and enjoyed many other school activities.

Garrett was a member of Bankston Fork Baptist Church and gave the gift of life to several people by being an organ donor.

Survivors include his father, Gary Donald Turcott of Harrisburg; three brothers, Ross Turner of Harrisburg, Josh Turcott and wife Alisha of Harrisburg, and Dalton Vaughn of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Taylor Phillips of Harrisburg and Shania Vaughn of Elizabethtown; grandparents, Steve and Wynona Turner and Judy Pike; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews along with his many special friends, classmates and his two dogs, Duke and Claire.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Angela Turcott, in January.

Services for Garrett will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018 in Davenport Gym with the Rev. Donnie Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Bankston Fork Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2018 at Davenport Gym.
