David Maloney, formerly of Ridgway

RIDGWAY - David Maloney, 75, of Waverly, Kentucky, formerly of Ridgway, passed away Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, in Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida.

He was born to Daniel J. and Margaret Maloney.

David was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a lifelong farmer and avid boater.

His greatest pleasure in life was spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean Heimann and husband Leonard; and brothers, Pat Maloney and wife Doreen, and Richard Maloney and wife Alice.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Frances Maloney; three sons, Lowell Maloney and wife Tabitha, Daniel Maloney and wife Dana and Steven Maloney and wife Jolynn; eight grandchildren, Hannah, Davis, Bailey, Max, Isabel, Jack, Alex and Chase Maloney; and three sisters, Corinne Miller and husband Ted, Mary Beth Wargel and husband Charlie and Frances Traweek and husband Tony.

David was very close to his many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, in St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway with burial in Union Ridge Cemetery in New Haven. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, Feb. 2, at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, Kentucky, and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to John Paul II School in Morganfield, Kentucky, or charity of the donor's choice.
