Jacqueline C. Hicks of Herod

HEROD - Jacqueline C. Hicks, 81, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, in Linda White Hospice Center in Evansville, Indiana.

Jacqueline was born June 28, 1936, to George Dewey and Euna May (Robinson) Matheney.

She married Cletis Partain Sept. 19, 1954, and he preceded her in death Jan. 29, 1959. From this union, two children were born, Teresa Lynn Kielhorn and George Allen "Pete" Partain.

She married Charles W. "Doc" Hicks June 28, 1974, and he preceded her in death Aug. 5, 2002.

Survivors include her stepdaughter, Christine Wagner of Golconda; three grandchildren, Erin Krikie and husband Greg of Junction, Julia Haner and husband John of Golconda and Doyle Wagner of Austin, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Jayden Krikie of Junction, Jake Haner and Jaxon Haner, both of Golconda, and Dylan Krikie and wife Danielle of Norris City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cletis; husband, Charles; daughter, Teresa Lynn Kielhorn; son, George Allen "Pete" Partain; brother, Herschel "Matt" Matheney; brother, Edison Eugene "Gene" Matheney; sister, Audie Albright; and brother, Nova Matheney.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, in Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. Harold Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Lavender Cemetery in Herod. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at the funeral home.
