Bobby Joe Bozarth of Creal Springs

Bobby Joe Bozarth, 72, of Creal Springs, passed away at 11:41 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017 at Carbondale Memorial Hospital following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Bobby was born on Sept. 13, 1945 in Stonefort to the late Herman Bozarth and Olga (Campbell) Meadows. He was a retired laborer for Local 77 of Marion. He was also saved and loved God, his family and church.

Bobby married Patsy Lindsey on Nov. 23, 1962. They were married 53 years and had five children together.

Survivors include children, Rick (Missy) Bozarth, Mary and fiancé (Keith Adams), Sheliah (Tony) Dolden, Bobbi Horn and Emma (Keith) Tanner; siblings Billy W. Bozarth, Margie Powell and Rick Lindsey; stepchildren Dewayne and Barb Stokes,Tina and Randy Anderson and Beth and Ronnie Harris; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and an uncle, Elmo (Alice) Bozarth.

The couple also adopted Tricia Rivera and Cody Bozarth. Bobby later married Deloris Stokes on April 30, 2016.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Patsy; and brothers, John Bozarth and Roger Bozarth.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 at the Cosby-Sloan Funeral Home in Creal Springs with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Officiating the service will be Charles "Country" Hill. Memorials may be made to the family and left at the funeral home.
