Thomas L. Moll, of Ellis Grove

Thomas L. Moll, 70, of Ellis Grove, Illinois, passed away at 8:27 am, November 30, 2017 at his residence.

He was born to the late Gilbert and Evelyn (nee DuFrenne) Moll on November 27, 1947 in Red Bud, Illinois.

He married Jeri York on June 24, 1972 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, she survives.

Tom had worked as a truck driver for Tower Rock Stone Company in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, for 27 years.

Tom was a member of St. Mary Church of Divine Maternity in Ellis Grove. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 622, the Red Bud Car Club, and the Ellis Grove Fire Department.

Tom was a supporter and helped organized fundraisers for Relay for Life and organized numerous car shows in the surrounding areas. He also enjoyed going camping.

He was an Army veteran.

Survivors include wife: Jeri L. Moll, Ellis Grove; three children: Wayne (Cheryl) Moll, Ellis Grove; Amy (John) Miller, Red Bud and Steve Moll (Mandi Riedel), Ellis Grove.

Additional survivors include four siblings: Betty (Robert) Hooten, Prairie du Rocher; Joyce (John) Hogan, Springfield; Jerry (Lois) Moll, Red Bud and Carla (Albert) Deterding, Prairie du Rocher.

Tom is also survived by two grandsons: Chrispin Moll and Gage Riedel and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by: parents and one sister - Jeanette Kennedy.

Memorial services will be held Monday, December 4, at 1 p.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester with Deacon Al Dubois and Rev. Roger Reid officiating.

Inurnment will be at Ellis Grove City Cemetery in Ellis Grove.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester.

Memorials can be made to Relay for Life, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Shriner's Hospital for Children.
