Daniel C. Flowers of Red Bud

Daniel C. Flowers, 59, of Red Bud, formerly of Murphysboro, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at Evelyn's Hospice House in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Daniel was born in Murphysboro, on March 21, 1958, the son of Ronald Claude and Charlotte Ann Bean Flowers. He married Lisa M. Crews on Sept. 18, 1993 at the Methodist Church in Vergennes.

Daniel taught for 30 years at Red Bud High School. He would have retired in May 2018, but due to illness he retired in August 2017. Dan loved hiking, bicycling and enjoyed the outdoors.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Lisa Flowers of Red Bud; and brother, David (Emily) Flowers of Murphysboro.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sarah Ann Flowers.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 25, at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava. The Rev. Bill Stoklosa officiated.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
