Jane A. Flannigan

HARRISBURG - Jane A. Flannigan, 64, passed away at 4:49 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, in Harrisburg Medical Center.

Jane was born Oct. 2, 1953, in Christopher to Wayne and Christine (Phillips) Chancey.

On Aug. 10, 1986, she married Mark Flannigan, and he survives.

Jane retired from Southeastern Illinois College as dean of Continuing Education. She was a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Flannigan of Harrisburg; daughter, Christine Hankins and husband Brandon of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Ali, Aidan and Ashton Hankins, all of Harrisburg; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Denise Cima and husband Greg and Ellen Shaffer and husband Dale, all of Benton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dennis Chancey.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, in Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at the funeral chapel.

Graveside memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, in Masonic-Odd Fellow Cemetery in Benton.

Memorial contributions may be made to Dorrisville Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
