Roberta Peral Jany, of Chester

Roberta Pearl Jany, 84, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Coulterville Care Center in Coulterville, Illinois.

She was born to the late Steve and Ellen (nee Hoelscher) Casetta on January 4, 1933 in Pinckneyville, Illinois.

Roberta married Lawrence Jany on September 6, 1952 in Chester, Illinois. He survives

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester.

Survivors include husband: Lawrence Jany, Chester; six children: Steven (Donna) Jany, Patricia Nehrt, Robert (Mary) Jany, Timothy (Michelle) Jany, Debra Jany (Dennis Guethle) and Teresa (Neil) Miller.

Additional survivors include one sister: Nedra Jany; one brother-in-law: William Robb; Eleven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews and friends.

Roberta was preceded in death by: parents, one brother – Donald Casetta; two sisters – Harriet

Campanella and Rose Robb and two grandsons – Joshua Jany and Carl Glasco.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester with The Very Reverend Eugene H. Wojcik officiating.

Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Chester.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 7:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois.
