Edward S. Fiorino of Du Quoin

Edward S. Fiorino, 78, of Du Quoin passed away at 12:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, at his residence.

Ed was a retired plumber and pipe fitter. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin. He was a United States Army veteran. He was also a member of Du Quoin American Legion Post 647, Du Quoin Eagles Lodge Aerie 779 and the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 160.

He was born Nov. 19, 1938, Du Quoin, the son of Sam and Lucy (Janello) Fiorino.

Ed married Heide Maier Feb. 2, 1962, in Goppingen, Germany, and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin; three daughters, Karen Fiorino and husband Joseph Matthews of Makanda, Deborah Fred and husband Timothy of Wichita, Kan., and Julia Listello and husband Marc of Osceola, Ind.; three grandchildren, Orion Fiorino-Matthews of Makanda, Kristen LaVoie of Wichita, Kan., and Isabella Listello of Osceola, Ind.; one great-grandson, Dominic LaVoie of Wichita, Kan.; sister Betty Sheldon and husband Irv of Boulder, Colo.; brother Joseph Fiorino and wife Karen of West Plains, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin with Fr. Joseph Oganda officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m.. Thursday until the time of service at the church.

Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery at Du Quoin.

Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Du Quoin VFW and American Legion and the Army National Guard.

Friends may make memorials to Sacred Heart Cemetery, the Du Quoin Public Library or to the donors choice. They will be accepted at the funeral home.
