Lee Parks of Carrier Mills

CARRIER MILLS - Lee Parks, 88, passed away at 4:25 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017, in Carrier Mills Nursing and Rehab Center.

Lee was born May 21, 1929, in Carrier Mills, the son of Virgil and Bessie (Odum) Parks, who both preceded him in death.

He married the former Reva M. Ralph on Sept. 14, 1951, and she preceded him in death on April 4, 2005.

Lee retired from Commonwealth Edison Nuclear Security.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of First Baptist Church in Carrier Mills.

Survivors include his son, Robin Parks of Alpine, California.

Graveside memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, in Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Ryan Beck officiating. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery prior to the time of services.

Cremation had been accorded.

Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is in charge of arrangements.
