David A. Fronek of Du Quoin

David A. Fronek, 68, of Du Quoin passed away at 8:39 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

David had been a carpet layer. He was a United States Navy veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion and Eagles Lodge.

He was born Nov. 10, 1948, in Du Quoin, the son of Joe and Ruth (Horn) Fronek Jr.

He is survived by one brother, Joe Thomas Fronek and wife Ruth of Du Quoin; and one niece and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard Fronek.

Private family burial will be at a later date at the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the VA Hospital Auxiliary in Marion. They will be accepted at the funeral home.
