Carl L. Eisenhauer, formerly of Du Quoin

Carl L. Eisenhauer (known as "Buddy" or "Ike"), 79, of Waco, Texas, formerly of Du Quoin, passed away at 9:54 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, at his residence.

Carl had worked as a head custodian for Barrington School District and District 300 in Sleepy Hollow. He was also a United States Army veteran. He had a strong passion for baseball and enjoyed fishing, playing softball and bowling.

He was born Sept. 6, 1937, in Du Quoin, the son of Carl G. and Nina E. (Porter) Eisenhauer.

He married Dolores Rodriguez March 27, 1979, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin, and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Waco, Texas; four daughters, Kelly (Patrick) Johnston of Carpentersville, Carla (Kristopher) Stallworth of Bakersfield, Calif., Laura (James) Pawlikowski of Austin, Texas, and Samantha Eisenhauer of Waco, Texas; two sons, Terry L. (Carolyn) Eisenhauer of Mesa, Ariz., and Carl A. (Amanda) Eisenhauer of Ozark, Mo.; one sister, Jo Ann Jackson of Du Quoin; many nieces and nephews including Lee Ellen (Todd) Thomas of Gibson City, Mary C. (Chuck) Smith of Du Quoin and Joseph R. (Mary) Jackson of Du Quoin; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with the Rev. Charles Smith officiating.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Du Quoin.

Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Du Quoin V.F.W. and American Legion and the Army National Guard.

Friends may make memorials to the American Heart Association. They will be accepted at the funeral home.
