Michael Calvin Lynch of Pinckneyville

Michael Calvin Lynch, age 71, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10:05 a.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL.

Michael was born on Dec. 22, 1945 in Detroit, MI, a son to Dorsey R. and Laura (Scholebo) Lynch. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served during the Vietnam War. Michael had worked as a carpet installer and enjoyed boating, motorcycles and family.

Survivors include his four brothers, Don (Mary) Lynch of Howell, MI, John Lynch of Pinckneyville, IL, Jerry Lynch of Pinckneyville, IL, Jack (Kathy) Lynch of Northwood, OH; a sister, Shirley (Sam) Loyd of Pinckneyville, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers, Timothy Lynch, Bobby Lynch, Jim Lynch, Dorsey Lynch, Bill Lynch and Weaver Lynch.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, at Roe's Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, with the Revs. Kenneth Owen and Steve Bareis officiating. Interment will be in Holts Prairie Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL with military graveside rites by Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post #2504, Pinckneyville, IL.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, July 25 from 5 to 8 p.m.; and on Wednesday morning at Roe's Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL from 8 to 10 a.m.
