Ronald Dean Szczeblewski of Tamaroa

Ronald Dean Szczeblewski, 74, of Tamaroa was faithfully called to Heaven at 6:49 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2017, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Ron had been a self-employed mechanic. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin.

He was born May 27, 1943, in Tamaroa, the son of Raymond and Edna (Cowley) Szczeblewski.

He is survived by five daughters, Karla Norris and husband Michael of Austin, Texas, Diana Searcey and husband Steven of Austin, Texas, Rhonda Levy and husband Donald of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., Mindy Carver of Bay St. Louis, Miss., and Jena Szczeblewski of Tamaroa; two sisters, Delores Waligorski and husband Larry and Mary Ellen Bird and husband Orange, all of Pinckneyville; one brother, Roger Szczeblewski of Tamaroa; grandchildren Monica, Kayla, Kyle, Faith, Tori, Calenna, Tyde, Breanna, Alyssia, Amaria and JaRon; and great-grandchildren Hae'Ven, Zeven, Zaniyah, Kaiden, Richard Jr. and Leya.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa with Fr. Joseph Oganda officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Friends may make memorials to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. They will be accepted at the funeral home.
