Maria Michelle Acree of Harrisburg

Maria Michelle Acree, 47, of Harrisburg and formerly of Eldorado, passed away after struggling with a chronic disabling illness, gave up her fight and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 21, 2017.

Maria was born in Herrin on July 24, 1969. She is survived by her parents, Dr. Elliott O. Partridge and Darla (Yoder) Partridge.

She is also survived by her lifelong partner, Antawn M. Jakes of Harrisburg; two daughters, Kera Nichelle Jakes and Giavana Tawan Jakes, both of Harrisburg; three brothers: Matthew (Lisa) Partridge, Corey (Amy) Partridge and Harley (Sharmin) Partridge; two sisters, Joni (Joe) Hosman and Mikki Partridge and by a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Marta Christine Partridge, in 2013.

Visitation for Maria will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. The family requests that no flowers be sent and memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association c/o 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexandria, Virginia 22311 or may be left at the funeral home.
