Beverly Wilks of Pinckneyville

Beverly Wilks, 66, of Pinckneyville passed away at 7:19 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.

Beverly was born March 12, 1951, in Belleville, a daughter to Myron A. and Alice M. (Gasperin) Quigley. On July 12, 1969, she married Larry Wilks at Holts Prairie Baptist Church in Pinckneyville, and he survives.

Beverly retired after working for 25 years as a bank teller at Murphy-Wall State Bank in Pinckneyville. She was a member of The Gathering Church in Coulterville. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, attending sports events and playing with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Wilks of Pinckneyville; one daughter, Alicia (Mike) Millikin of Pinckneyville; two sons, Justin (Sena) Wilks of Freeport and Jordan (Melissa) Wilks of Willisville; 11 grandchildren, Kayla (Miles), Jenna (Ruben) Christian, Samuel, Payton, Jaden, Sophia, Landon, Gavin, Nathaniel and Parker; one great-grandchild, Easton, and two on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Stephen Quigley, Daryl Quigley and Larry Quigley.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Holts Prairie Baptist Church in Pinckneyville with Brother Mark Cox officiating. Interment will be at Holts Prairie Cemetery in Pinckneyville.

Friends may call at Holts Prairie Baptist Church from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 2 and 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to Alex's House Orphanage in Haiti.
