Alice Drummond, formerly of Pinckneyville

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Alice Irene (Rodewald) Drummond, 78, of Mattoon passed away at 1:35 a.m. May 17, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital.<br /> <span class="contextualExtensionHighlight ms-font-color-themePrimary ms-border-color-themePrimary ident_120_275" tabindex="0">Funeral services honoring her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Schilling Funeral Home in Mattoon with Pastor Ryan Hayden officiating.</span> Burial will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery. <span class="contextualExtensionHighlight ms-font-color-themePrimary ms-border-color-themePrimary ident_318_439" tabindex="0">A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.</span><br /> Alice was born on March 6, 1939, in Pinckneyville, the daughter of John and Lois (Gant) Farthing. She married William "Bill" Rodewald May 14, 1957. He preceded her in death April 4, 2005. She later married Glen Drummond June 23, 2007. He survives. <br /> Other survivors include her children, Donald E. Rodewald (Sue McLaughlin) of Normal, Connie S. Crawford of Mattoon and Eric William (Debbie) Rodewald of Humboldt; grandchildren Matthew (Shelby) Rodewald of Effingham, Melanie Rodewald (Randall Kennon) of Swansea, Jason W. (Kristin) Starwalt of Windsor, Rachel Vinson (John Honator) of Union Town, Ohio, and Yates McLaughlin; and great-grandchildren Riley and Collin Rodewald, Taylor and Jaidyn Starwalt, Luther Ledbetter, Phoenix Honator, and Caleb and Avery Starwalt. <br /> Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill; sister Beulah Huffstatler; daughter-in-law Deana Rodewald; grandsons Chris Neff and Jeremy Starwalt; and great-grandson Brandon Stevens.<br /> Alice worked at R.R. Donnelly and Sons for 26 years and sold Avon for more than 30 years. Family was very important to Alice, and she lovingly took care of her parents in their old age. Alice always cherished spending time with her&#160; children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.<br /> Memorial donations in her honor are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.</span></span>
