Pauline Hopkins of Du Quoin

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Pauline Hopkins, 85, of Du Quoin passed away at 4:45 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017, at Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.<br /> Pauline had worked at Blue Bell Packing House and at Selmer-Peerles in Carbondale.<br /> She was a member of First Baptist Church in Du Quoin.<br /> She was born Jan. 4, 1932, in Perry County, the daughter of William and Nellie Mae (Morganthler) Queen.<br /> Pauline married Billie Ray Hopkins Dec. 12, 1969, in Belleville, and he preceded her in death April 2, 1990.<br /> She is survived by a stepson, Michael Hopkins of Carterville; sister-in-law- Nadine Queen of Pinckneyville; and several nieces and nephews.<br /> She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; stepson Bradley Hopkins; sister Marge Keene; and three brothers, Donald Queen, Harry Queen and Paul Queen.<br /> <span class="contextualExtensionHighlight ms-font-color-themePrimary ms-border-color-themePrimary ident_778_910" tabindex="0">Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with the Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.</span><br /> <span class="contextualExtensionHighlight ms-font-color-themePrimary ms-border-color-themePrimary ident_911_990" tabindex="0">Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.</span><br /> Burial will be at Egyptian Memorial Gardens at Energy.<br /> Friends may make memorials to First Baptist Church of Du Quoin.
