Charles “Chick” Girot of Muddy

MUDDY – Charles "Chick" Girot, 86, passed away at 1:40 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2017, in Eldorado Rehab and Healthcare.

Chick was a longtime resident of Muddy and a member of Muddy Baptist Church.

He was born Jan. 18, 1931, in Saline County to Charles and Helen Girot.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Girot; daughter, Kathy; son, Stanley; sister, Kathryn Girot Cline; and two infant sisters.

Survivors include several cousins.

Funeral services will be at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, May 18, in Reed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lindale Memorial Gardens near Eldorado. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
