Rose Coker

ELDORADO – Rose Coker, 86, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, in Harrisburg Medical Center.

She was born March 5, 1930, in Chicago to the late Jakob and Martha (Schultz) Eichberger. She married Clarence J. Coker, who preceded her in death.

Rose enjoyed life, whether it was raising ducks and geese, her poodle or spending time in Metropolis and Las Vegas.

She was known about town for always driving a white Cadillac. Also, Rose and her husband enjoyed entertaining.

Survivors include two daughters, Tammy (Phil) Heath of Harrisburg and Sandy (Terry) Dunning of Marion; two brothers, Jack (Jenny Scott) Eichberger of Hawaii and Gary (Pat) Eichberger of Eldorado; two grandchildren, Jonathan Heath of Evansville and Dennis (Tammy) Skaggs of Kentucky; and three great-grandchildren, Natalie, Aaron and Emily.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert; and two sisters, Rita Wrona and Mary Ann Rodgers.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, in Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Keith Ital officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
