Robert Roscoe Neal Jr.

HARRISBURG -- Robert Roscoe Neal Jr., 68, passed away at 6:39 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, in Harrisburg Medical Center.

He was born April 28, 1948, in Harrisburg to Robert Roscoe Neal Sr. and Easter Ann (Walker). On Feb. 16, 1971, he married Wendy Sumner, and she survives.

Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Wendy Neal of Harrisburg; daughter, Dana Neal of Cape Girardeau; son, Scott Neal and wife Renee of Cape Girardeau; son, Brent Neal of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Mina Lands and husband Mac of Harrisburg; daughter, Mona Neal of Harrisburg; daughter, Peggy Walker and husband Marlin of St. Louis; son, Robert “Bucky” Neal and wife Simone of Harrisburg; daughter, Farrah Hurd and husband Brian of Harrisburg; 21 grandchildren, including Stewart Neal, who was like a son; five great-grandchildren; brother, David Givens of Carrier Mills; sister, Eurlene Sanders of Carrier Mills; sister, Ethelene Neal of Carrier Mills; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be at a later date.

Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg is in charge of arrangements.
