Marvin Shults

<span>ELDORADO -- Marvin Leon Shults of Springville, Alabama, formerly of Eldorado, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 28, 2016, at the age of 83.</span>

<span>He was preceded in death by his parents, Spurgeon and Lila Shults; and brothers and sisters, Charles Nehring, Jean Nehring DuMont, Nellie Nehring Shapiro, Katherine Nehring Weir, Albert Shults and Roy Shults.</span>

<span>Marvin was born June 9, 1933, at home in Armourdale, Kansas, to Spurgeon Raymond and Lila Veilbig Nehring Shults.</span>

<span>He graduated from Armourdale High School in 1951. He married the love of his life, Zettie Jane Jennings, on Dec. 27, 1957.</span>

<span>His passion in life was to his family, to serve others and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ!</span>

<span>Survivors include his wife, Zettie Jennings Shults; four children, Bart (Sheila) Shults, Steve (Rhea) Shults, Phillip (Diana) Shults and Anne (Phillip) Sargent; sister, Shirley Shults Sherman; eight grandchildren and their spouses; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and extended family.</span>

<span>Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, in Gospel Assembly Church, 300 Murphrees Valley Road, in Springville, Alabama, with the Rev. Clyde Sharber officiating. Burial will follow in Springville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the church.</span>
