Linda Upchurch

HARRISBURG - Linda Ileane Upchurch, 72, passed away at 4:03 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, in Harrisburg Medical Center.

Linda was born Nov. 3, 1944, in Portland, Maine, to Lawrence and Etta (Webber) Tibbetts. On June 17, 1992, she married Don Upchurch, and he survives.

She was a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church of Harrisburg.

Linda enjoyed sitting on the front porch with Don, drinking coffee and sweet tea and reminiscing about Maine. She loved seeing her grandkids and great-grandkids, her dog Thor was very special to her, she never missed a football game to watch Matt play, and she enjoyed watching all the high school kids walking by her house. She was a social butterfly!

Survivors include her husband, Don Upchurch of Harrisburg; daughter, Tammi White of Albion, Maine; sons, Chris Upchurch of Massachusetts and Lawrence L. Crosby and Matyrius Upchurch, both of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Bilbo, Daniel White, Tina White, Lawrence "Little Larry" Crosby, Kyle Upchurch, Matthew Crosby and Peyton Moran; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Dennis Tibbetts of Cumberland, Maine, and Lawrence Tibbetts of Union, Maine.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, in Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. Chris Wise officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
