Ronnie Warren

HARRISBURG -- Ronnie Dean Warren, 67, passed away at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, at his residence in Harrisburg.

He was born May 2, 1949, in Rosiclare to Clyde Russell and Verna R. (English) Warren. He married Nina Sherrod on April 9, 2016, and she survives in Harrisburg.

Ronnie was a semi-truck driver, who drove for Sunco Trucking Company and received a 1.5 Million Mile Safe Drivers Award. He also had driven for Rodan Trucking.

He was a member of McKinley Avenue Baptist Church. He loved his family and his job. He enjoyed going riding on his side-by-side, fishing and horseback riding.

Ronnie had a big heart.

Survivors include his wife, Nina Warren of Harrisburg; mother, Verna Spivey; five children, Anntoinette Underwood and husband Cody of Harrisburg, Anthony Funaro and wife Amber of Stonefort, Rhonda Dillard and husband Dale of Cave-In-Rock, Jeff Warren and Ann Mitchell of Cave-In-Rock and Dusty Brinkley and husband Charles of Norris City; 16 grandchildren, Isaiah, Zechariah and Jeremiah Underwood, Brianna and T.J. Funaro, Ashley, Tosha and Alexis Dillard, Destiny and Colton Warren, Brooklyn Naas and husband Brandon, Colby Payne and wife Jaci, Andrew Brinkley, Austin Brinkely, Kyle Brinkely and Kalin Brinkley and husband Ryse; seven great-grandchildren, Kayden, Kaleb, Kason, Tucker, Lennon, Cale and Mason; brothers and sisters, Rusty Warren and wife Dora of Rosiclare, Larry Warren of Elizabethtown, Gary Warren and wife Rita of Cave-In-Rock, Regina Cowsert and husband David of Metropolis, Ricky Warren and wife Anna of Metropolis, Sharon Robinson and husband Mike of Elizabethtown, Kevin Warren of Anna, Debbie Warren of Rosiclare and Joyce Boone and husband Scott of Henderson, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; very special friends, Barney and Brenda Butler and April Fuerback; and Uncle Victor and Aunt Shelly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Warren; wife, Geneva (Wallace) Warren; and Grandma and Grandpa Raymond and Essie English, with whom he spent summers.

Funeral services will be at noon Friday, Dec. 23, in McKinley Avenue Baptist Church in Harrisburg with the Rev. Billy Dye Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
