Bobby Jones Sr.

GALATIA -- Bobby Floyd Jones Sr., 78, passed away at 12:03 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, in Saline Care Center in Harrisburg.

He was born March 23, 1938, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Ira Donald Jones and Ethel (Melvin) Mishler.

Mr. Jones was a retired coal miner from Old Ben 24, Cub Master for Galatia Cub Scouts, and owner/operator of Jones Garage in Galatia. He also was a Shriner and a member of Galatia Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include four children, Bobby Floyd Jr. (Gina) Jones, Sheila (Jimmy) Key, Terry (Lisa) Jones and Shelly (Mike) Fraulini; seven grandchildren, Ferrell, Michael, Brendan, Derek, Jenni, James and Roger; eight great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Billy Joe (Mary Lou) Jones, Fred (Brenda) Jones, Robin (Don) Standley and Donnie (Angela) Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister; Cathy Coburn.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, in Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Galatia with the Rev. Roger Roper officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with Masonic rites at 7 p.m. by Galatia Masonic Lodge.
