Roger W. Mahan

<span>Roger W. Mahan, 67, of Harrisburg IL, formerly of Equality, passed away at 11:30am, July 10th 2016, at his residence, surrounded by family and friends. </span>

<span>Roger was born December 22nd, 1948 to the late George (Roby) Mahan and Hazel Davenport Mahan of Equality, IL. He served as Executive Director of Coleman Tri-County Service from 1974 until his retirement, as well as President of J Max Inc., and partial owner and stockholder in Camaro Inc., Southeastern Residential Alternatives Inc., and Turner Manor Inc. He was a part time Adjunct Psychology Instructor at Southeastern Illinois College from 1976 to 1989. </span>

<span>He was a Marine Corp Veteran that served in Vietnam and a member of the Harrisburg American Legion post 167, Harrisburg Elks Lodge 1058, and Shawnee Hills Country Club. </span>

<span> Roger is survived by two daughters, Robi Mahan of Austin, TX and Reiana Mahan, attending SIU school of medicine in Springfield, IL; former wife and caregiver Bonnie Mahan of Galatia, IL; three sisters, Linda (Gary) Crawford, Cincinnati, OH, Sandra (Rick) Prather and Cynthia Mahan, Equality, IL; two brothers, Gerald (Joann) Mahan and Jeff Mahan, Harrisburg, IL; seven nieces, Crystal Crawford and Caryn Royce, Cincinnati, OH; Debra Stubbs and Ashley Roper, Harrisburg, IL; Donna Westbrook, Equality, IL, Gayla Aydelott, Rineyville, KY, and Anne Intravaia, Greenville, IL; 7 Great-Nephews and 4 Great-Nieces. </span>

<span>Roger was preceded in death by his parents and infant son. </span>

<span>Funeral Service will be held 10 am, Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Equality, IL. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm, Wednesday, July 15, 2016, at the Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Coleman Tri-County Services.
