Noah Horton Jr., 82, Shawneetown
<span>Noah Horton Jr., 82, of Shawneetown, formerly of Eldorado, died January 10, 2016 in Shawneetown.</span>
He was born in Eldorado on October 7, 1933 to the late Noah Horton Sr. and Lillian Naoma (Oliver) Horton. Noah worked in retail sales at Ben Franklin and P.N. Hirsch Co. in Eldorado and other businesses.
On September 1, 1951 he married the former Betty Ann Turner and she preceded him in death on May 4, 1998. Noah is survived by his children: Mike (Kathy) Horton of Harrisburg, Rick (Cindy) Horton of Shawneetown, Sue (Truman) Sauls of Eldorado and Melinda (Kevin) Delap of Broughton. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 sisters Ruby Campbell and Naomi Tite. He was preceded in death by a son David Horton and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services for Noah will be held on <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">Friday, January 15, 2016</span></span> at the Watson Funeral Home at <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">11:00 AM</span></span>. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held on <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM</span></span> at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Hospice of Southern Illinois and may be left at the funeral home.
