'Voice of the Victims' poker run set for Saturday

The Harrisburg Voice of the Victims (a branch of the Anna Bixby Center) is planning a poker run from Poor Boys Lounge on Saturday to benefit underprivileged children.

Proceeds will go to underprivileged children and families in Saline, Williamson, Gallatin, White, Pope, Hardin and Hamilton counties.

The run includes stops at S.I. Pitstop in Marion, Pin Oaks in Carterville, J&J Time Out Sports Bar in Herrin, Ironhorse in Sesser and Donna's Sweetwater in Benton. The cost for participation is $15 for drivers or riders, $10 for passengers who play a hand and $5 for those who don't.

Prizes include $500 for first, $250 for second and a gift for third place.

The day will also feature a live auction, food and entertainment. The band Minx will begin playing at 8 p.m.
