Whitesville motorcycle crash injures two

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[A Harrisburg man and woman were injured in a single motorcycle accident on Whitesville Road Wednesday morning.

Saline County Central Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call reporting the accident at 10:40 a.m.

Saline County Deputies and Saline County EMS responded to the scene on Whitesville Road, 1/4 mile east of Briar Creek Road in southern Saline County. Upon arrival officers found Delaney N. Robinson, 20, of Harrisburg laying near the roadway and Jacob C. Lewis, 22, of Harrisburg standing along the roadway. Preliminary reports indicate the motorcycle lost control and ran off the road way and ejected both riders.

Robinson was flown from the scene, by Air Evac Helicopter to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind., with significant injuries. Lewis was treated and released at the scene with minor injuries.

The accident is still under investigation by the Saline County Sheriff's Office and citations are pending. The Illinois State Police assisted with the accident.
