The Angel Scent flower shop building on Oak Street in Carrier Mills is expected to be only a memory by the end of the day.

The building was connected to the Field's Five and Ten store that collapsed last June.

Bob Stone and Bobby Stone of Stone Tree Trimming and Demolition have been salvaging lumber, iron, brick and tin from the building over the past few weeks.

Tuesday they knocked down the north and east walls. They expected the other two walls to be knocked down by this morning.

Bob Stone said some area people are taking the lumber for kindling for their woodstoves and others are wanting the brick to use as fill material.
