Logan men down Wabash Valley by 10

MT. CARMEL - All-American Jay Scrubb had 38 points to lead John A. Logan to a 93-83 road win over Wabash Valley.

The victory leaves Logan with a record of 21-5 overall and 14-0 in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference.

With four games left in the regular season Logan has a three-game lead in the conference race and a one-game lead for the top seed in the NJCAA District 10 tournament.

Wabash Valley, 17-9 overall and 10-4 in the conference, shot 78% from the floor to claim a 51-50 halftime lead. Logan tightened the defense and went on a 10-0 run early in the second half and dominated the rest of the way.

Eric Boone had a double-double with 13 points and 10 assists. Trace Young and Jordan Cousin each added 10 points.

Logan will host Shawnee on tomorrow night at 7 p.m.

The Lady Vols will face off at 5 p.m.
