HARRISBURG -- One Harrisburg fifth grade class celebrated Thanksgiving with members of the community earlier this week.

Fifth grade teacher Benjie Willsey, along with her class, has hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for about 20 years. Students invite members of the local community as guests, and parent volunteers cook a feast.

This year, student James Cranmore invited the Daily Register/Eldorado Journal as his guest.

Cranmore said he recently moved to Harrisburg from South Carolina. He said his father is a military veteran, and his mother currently is on active duty in Afghanistan.

He said he's been enjoying his time in his new town.

"I like to run, a lot, and I like video games," he said.
