Chester McDonald's re-opens with high-tech features

The newly remodeled McDonald's in Chester reopened last week to great fanfare, and full of the latest technological advances that the company is installing in 14,000 of its restaurants nationwide.

Located at 2208 State St., remodeling the Chester McDonald's took about three months.

Chester city leaders, Chamber of Commerce members and McDonald's employees were on hand to cut a ribbon and help owners Greg and Christina Hurst celebrate the milestone.

Chester Mayor Thomas Page presented the Hursts with a proclamation naming Wednesday, Nov. 28 "McDonald's Day" in the City of Chester.

New features at the restaurant include:

Self-ordering kiosks

Table service where food will be brought to a guest's table

Mobile order and pay: customers place their order on McDonald's mobile app and can pick it up inside the restaurant, in the drive through line or delivered to a curbside parking spot.

McDonald's is involved in several charity projects, including the Ronald McDonald houses in the St. Louis area.
