George Howard Kopp, formerly of Du Quoin

George Howard Kopp, 83, of Davenport, Florida, formerly of Du Quoin, died Oct. 9, 2018 at Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee, Florida.

George was born Feb. 9, 1935 in Du Quoin and was the son of George and Gladys Kopp of Elkville. He was employed as a coal miner at Consol 4 mine where he retired. He resided in Davenport, Florida and was a member of the 4 Corners Baptist Church.

George is survived by two sisters, Faye Ann Aken of Elkville and Jane Morefield of Agoura, California; one son, Lynn Kopp; and one daughter, Kim Davidson, both of Atlanta, Georgia.</group>
