St. Clair County Transit District announced ridership on the Red Bird Express has increased 10 percent during the 2018 St. Louis Cardinals season.

Red Bird Express has had record breaking ridership numbers over the summer, including a May 6 game that broke records for most riders for a single game with 2,100 riders. The Cardinals-Chicago Cubs game ridership was 12 percent higher than the previous record at 1,900 riders for a single game.

The St. Clair County Transit District announced the return of the popular Redbird Express bus service from St. Clair Square in early April for the 2018 St. Louis Cardinals season. Bus service will be available for all St. Louis Cardinals home games. Buses will depart from St. Clair Square, near the water tower, 2.5 hours before game time as buses fill, with the last bus leaving 40 minutes before the game begins.
