Mud Fest 2018: A messy great time

SALINE COUNTY - Mudfest 2018 fans got plenty of entertainment and cooler-than-normal late July temperatures, plus plenty of mud, to enjoy the weekend event at Williams Hill Pass south of Harrisburg.

Saturday afternoon, Bill Roberts of Eldorado and his grandson, Billy Roberts, enjoyed watching the large custom trucks competing in the mud drag race.

"My grandson likes seeing the big trucks run, and it's entertaining," Roberts said.

Roberts said he came to Mudfest during its first year in 2017, and this year brought his side-by-side UTV.

On other portions of the property, a mud bog event was going on, and people on all varieties of off-road vehicles drove the miles of trails that wind through the forested woods of the property.

A large entertainment lineup performed late into the evening Saturday night.
